We offer a flat monthly fee for monthly bookkeeping. This is determined by factors such as the average volume and complexity of your transactions/accounts. For Cleanup, we charge a flat one-time fee depending on the length of cleanup, the amount of transactions and accounts, and the complexity. We offer a quote for monthly and/or cleanup once we have all the information we need and we have never charged more for cleanup after the agreed-upon quote because we don’t quote until we have all the information we need. Beware of any bookkeeper who quotes a cleanup fee or even a monthly fee without asking you extensive questions and for exact numbers rather than for broad estimations as they tend to ask for more money once they start working on your books. We ask all the questions upfront and often do an in-depth evaluation to quote you a flat fee and because of this, we’ve never had to ask to charge more for cleanup later. For monthly bookkeeping, our flat monthly fee only increases if the work increases, naturally. That’s a positive thing because it means your business is growing! Still, this isn’t something we do frequently, and we don’t change the fee just because there are some additional monthly transactions. It takes a lot for us to need to increase the monthly fee. We’ve had clients for years that we’ve never changed the fee for.
